So I stopped in to my local bank today and as usual all the girls said Hi or smiled. I went to the friendliest and asked her if they had a "mutilated" file for older bills that they take out of circulation or not. She said each teller has an envelope at their station. I told her I collect old currency and she said, "you want to go through them?" Just like that I was counting SC's. Walked out with four that were in good condition. It was amazing to see all of the stained garbage bills either torn or full of graffiti though. They said come in anytime, it didn't bother them at all. I am IN!

Once I make a nice find, I will include pics. These were standard silver cert's nothing special, except I like collecting them. On a side note, I cannot add pics to an established thread, a new one yes, but can't figure out how to add a pic to a thread.

Should be an icon above your post which looks like a pencil and paper. That is the "edit reply" button.

At the top and bottom of each post is a link that says "Reply to topic"

By using that link it will let you add to a thread and use spell checker,
quotes .. etc .. there will also be a option to upload images.

I am happy for you, I know how that feels, I asked the exact question today at one of the banks I frequent, was told, Oh no We can NOT swap them we have to turn those in!!!:( Not my bank for an "IN." Although I have received some sweet Binary bills there, just in the bills from a withdrawal...:)
