I am curious to anyone here beside me, would love to hear collectors give their input as I just started not long ago. The premium is high for these cute Panda, and the recent issue of ANA Panda at the ANA world money show sold out on site, many including myself have to cough up the extra dollars to order online.

I have 1 2012 panda, hoping to keep collecting them every year.

I have one 2012. The premium is a little hard to stomach for me though. Counterfeiting is a issue with these as well. May become a graded purchase only.

I was hoping that more members here appreciate it, but most consider stacking silver than paying premium for the pandas.
And yes.
The pandas are heavily counterfeited, must buy from trusted dealers and collectors.

There are a few in my collection, but I don't actively seek them out. It's likely the counterfeiting of them will go down as the premiums for the higher mintages (8 million for this year alone) will go down and will not be worth the effort. Now is probably a good time to start a 2012 to 2050 collection.

I like the design but I dont trust anything coming out of China to be honest. Plus ASEs are cheaper the premium on the Pandas is stiff for sure

I buy one from trusted dealers when they're released on a yearly basis. Other than that I don't go back searching for older Panda coins. The premium and abundance of counterfeits makes me wary of them.

Here's two pictures I took from Panda America booth at the ANA world money fair. I was talking to one of the rep in regards to counterfeit Panda's and how to detect it, his respond was that they are familiar with the die that comes out of each year, and when the encounter fake one's they know what to look for. And of course I have to buy a few including a 1/10 oz gold Panda.

Since I basically put all my coins in Albums, don't have any of those. No one makes an Album for those, YET.

just carl, I think that's a good idea custom made Panda albums. I don't know why album makers didn't think of it, and I didn't look at the numismatic suppliers for these at the ANA world money fair. I believe a album with a light weight acrylic holder type that used in slab, but allowing collectors to be able to slide out the protective sleeve and also tabs to label beneath the slot. This maybe pretty heavy when its complete?
