hello fam, a friend of mine gave these cash coins to me as a gift a few years ago. I was wondering if they would have any value or rarity at all. What would each of them be worth in the markets today. Any help would be highly appreciated, thanks so much in advance :)

Hi,

Although I find these coins really interesting (they are 1 cash coins from the 19th and 20th centurys) they are not really worth much. All these I would expect to pick up in a 50p or £1 tray.

But enjoy them for what they are.

Some specific IDs:

#1: not a genuine coin. The script is just plain wrong, and there aren't any machine-struck cash with plain reverse; likely it was copied by someone who didn't actually know Chinese. The characters should be the same shape as the obverse of your coin #4.

#2 and #3: Qian Long (AD 1735-1796), Board of Works mint.

#4: Machine-struck, Guangdong (Kwangtung) mint, struck c.1890-1906

#5, #6 and #7: The same as #2/3, but Board of revenue mint.
