Hello Everyone, I'm trying to get my hands on one Morgan silver dollar either from the San Francisco Mint or the New Orleans Mint for either under $20.00 or at $20.00 in About Uncirculated or Uncirculated condition. The dates I'm looking for are from 1878 to 1891. Any suggestions? If so please let me know. Thank You Very Much, Eric

I agree, ebay is your best bet if there's not a coin shop in your area. Good Luck Ben

Hello, Yes ebay is a good idea BUT You have to be careful don't you so that you don't make a mistake and buy something counterfeit right? Eric

Eric, good question. Yes, you will really need to be careful when buying off ebay. Counterfeits are on there. However, I don't think you really need to worry about a $20 coin being a counterfeit. Most counterfeits are sold from people in China and 99% of the counterfeits are coins that are very rare. Like the CC Morgans are counterfeitsed. How do I know that? Because I bought one once. I would only worry about counterfeits if I'm buying a coin worth over $200, or so. But as long as its a good picture, the guy has a good reputation, and lots of people are bidding on the coin, go ahead and jump in and bid. Good return policies are a pluss, also. Ty

I had heard of Craigslist but wasn't sure what it was either. I just googled and found this: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/I'm not sure if this is what is being referred to, but I have to say that this site is not easy to navigate or search as far as I saw in the couple of minutes that I was there.

Craigslist is essentially an online classified ad site. It has multiple local area subsites you can visit to look for stuff in your own area.

Yes just type https://www.craigslist.org then look up your city in it or your state, then once you find it, look under collectibles, for me it is http://boston.craigslist.org/cltCraigslist is great as it is local, you can bargain a bit and unlike ebay see the stuff in front of your eyes before buying it.But not everbody will ahve coins for sale so you have to keep looking. hope this helps.
