One pawn shop nearby recently started selling coins, and often gives me good deals. I've sometimes even found coins below melt there. I dropped in today, and saw a three-piece UNC set with an 1887 Morgan, 1923 Peace, and a 1986 ASE. The obverses were toned a bit, but when I opened it and checked the reverses, the toning was amazing! The Morgan is rainbow toned, and the other two are getting close. They had been in a plastic case with foam backing since probably the late '80s. Best of all, he charged me less than $30 a coin!    Edited by CPC24

The photos don't do it justice. My camera's battery was dead, so I used a phone. It's very iridescent, with purple, green, and blue, and other colors mixing in. The front is starting to get good, too. The Peace has a rainbow effect, too, but it's not as deep yet.

Thanks a lot, everyone. I'm as surprised as you are. This pawn shop (like most) usually has overpriced, low quality coins. Even my LCS rarely has examples like this.
