This morgan was given to me a couple of months ago by my Grandfather who had kept his Fathers money clip on it, he took the money clip off to give to my brother and gave me the coin. Bummer that it scratched the back so much taking the clip off. It is still fun to have and is my oldest Morgan. Does a coin this scratched and toned still have any value to it? Someone educate me.

From a collectors' standpoint, it will have very little value. From a personal standpoint, it sounds priceless.

It certainly looks uncirculated with lots of toning from skin oils while the money clip was in use. I think even without the sentimental value it is worth more than melt value.
