Greetings, I'm new to this forum and to coins in general. I recently purchased three Morgan dollars off ebay from sellers who seemed to be reputable. I'm trying to determine if the coins are legit. The 1896 feels really light compared to the other two. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated! The 1896 weighs 25.89 grams, width 37.78mm. The 1885 weighs 26.46 grams, width 38.02mm The 1900 weighs 25.74 grams, width 37.92mm

The top and bottom are unquestionably real. The wear and toning is such that only could be done from actual circulation. Nothing strikes me as odd about the center one. Nice coins.

At initial glance they all seem real to me. Nice start to your Morgan collection.

So by your weight readings, there's about a third if a gram of silver on Liberty's face. Guess that sounds right.

the weights are slightly off due to wear. To be honest the chinese have made really good fakes that have fooled experts. Only thing is to weigh and buy from reputable collectors and dealers that you can return if later on they are fakes

I wouldn't expect the Chinese--or anybody else--to be making fakes of common dates such as these. If I were in that business, I'd be faking the rare ones, because that's where the money is.

Look pretty good to me. I bring a small pocket scale with me when I go out to buy them in person. Take off a little for wear, but not too much. Always helps to have a magnet available too. Other wiseit takes time and just keep reading here. Welcome.

Welcome! Beautiful start to your Morgan collection! Ya, nothing stands out to me, the first and third are most definitely real, IMO at least. Ebays always a risky place to buy coins, I rarley do, which is a shame because there's some great deals on nice coins. It definitely looks like you did ok though.
