Hi I have had this penny and noticed the 5 is partially worn but it is the only really worn point on the penny, the side it is on is not the most worn rim. could it be a mint error?

I see quite a bit of wear. The ear, cheek, and jawline all show significant wear (the ear is blending into the hair), as does the high points of the coat.
