I tried using the welcome for some info but couldn't get any so hope I can get someone to help me if its not to much trouble. What I have is lots of coins new mostly going to some old ones not much but mostly I have pennies and what I'm hope is for some one to give me some tips on what books to use that is good and if there is a good but cheap usb microscope and if using pennies is a good way to sell and make some profit. Though I am also enjoying them and straining my eyes to see up close its fun :D. Thank you in advanced.

I recommend the Cherry Pickers guides. But if you are searching Lincoln cents, I recommend coppercoins website. Just google coppercoins. DinoLites seem to be the most popular USB microscopes, and worth the price tag.
Welcome and good luck!!

The sites listed are very informative. I am still pretty new to this myself so I sort of feel lost when I visit those sites but I have had hours and hours of fun looking for varieties and errors. Good luck and happy hunting!

Dino-Lites are very good but costly. If you type usb microscope in the upper left search box of this page you will find a lot of info and some much cheaper ones. But remember you get what you pay for. John1

Now here are some more Bo to the Whitman web site and request a catalog. They will send you one free. About 95 pages lone and full of lots of books, Albums, other collecting items. However, remember that Whitman specializes is selling bulk quantities to dealers so individual items to people cost a lot. For example you could and should purchase a Red Book. Almost anywhere you could buy one for less than they sell them for to individuals. Some web sites list one year old editions for a really cheap price. And congradulations on one of the longest sentences I've seen in a long time. If you can find a flea market, you could get yourself a pile of magnifying glasses for about $1 each. Easier to use than a USB Microscope. Actually you could get them at Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc.

Only you can say they get better. The Red Book is really more of what everyone uses for information. It is normally about double the size of the Blue Book. Lots and lots more info in the Red Book. Prices in either one are almost comical. The Blue Book's prices are so low, you would think coins are a waste of time. The Red Book is just the opposite with prices so much to high, you would think you could never afford anything. I use a Red Book for my price guides but I use a 2010 version. Still on the high side but closer to reality. Back to a microscope. My suggestion to you is to concentrate on coins, coin supplies, first. Things like Albums and 2x2's,etc. Stuff like a microscope could and may never be used by you.

" a good way to sell and make some profit. "
WRONG APPROACH! Ask instead, or do some research, to ascertain what you have. There are a bunch of people here to help you. Then, AND ONLY THEN, can you determine what coins have a potential for profit. Only then can you establish a good asking price. Until you do so, do your homework. When you have done so, the angels in this forum will gladly help you to sell.
