Below are pictures of both sides of the coin. It was found amongst a group of Turkish coins and looks like a Turkish Akce. It is about 15mm in diameter. I have searched online but have had no luck. There appears to be a partial date. Thanks!

Welcome Aspro!

I could read the "struck in" part but didn't recognize the mint name. Finally I found that it was stylized "al-Jaza'ir" (Algeria). It looks nothing like it is written in the book but if you look at other Algerian coins of the period you can see that that's it!

The date is AH 1207 (about 1793), issued for (Ottoman - that's why you were thinking Turkey) sultan Selim III. Must be 1/8 budju. The catalog doesn't give the size, rather weight, 1.65 - 1.70 grams.
Next in size would be 1/4 budju, but it should be 19 - 20 mm and 2.9 - 3.4 grams.

Cool coin!

Hello svslav

Thank you - that was spot on. It is the 1/8 budju.
There are very few images of this coin on the web. Without your help I would never have identified it.
