Now.. I am no expert by no means, but I would say if you were to bring it to a coin shop to sell it, conservatively I would say around $800 or so. If you were to sell it on your own, or just trying to figure out a value of the collection you have, I would price it higher.

thanks jenger i figured by the melt value it was at least over $700. but I guess I dont know certain premiums, ie. ASE's, 10oz bar, sunshine bars, etc... I was hoping someone could give me a rough estimate on how much to put this up for sale.

I wonder if TBK would be interested in your bar(s)? I bet some of this would be right up his alley. Might want to contact him if he doesn't see this post. Forgot to add, most of your art bars and rounds will fetch at least $2-5 over spot on ebay, from my experience. Probably the same with SAEs. Might be worth keeping in mind, if you can stomach the fees. I remember US assay rounds going well above spot when I used to price them. But the 10 oz. bar? Not sure about that. Maybe $300-320? Looks to be in great shape.

I think you would get closer to about $625-$650 at a shop. Melt is around $721

if melt is $721 I would think at least $800 to cover premiums.

$800 seems in the ballpark, if the premiums are what you guys say they are... you guys think if I list this in the PIN here, that $800 is too much, or people here would go for it?

w/ amida17 Quote: if melt is $721 I would think at least $800 to cover premiums. A dealer won't care about the premium and will pay less than spot/melt. He needs to make his money too. I might be willing to take the 10 oz off your hands.

I would be interested in buying some of them. Ill pay spot and cover shipping. be careful selling on ebay though. by the time you finish with the fees you often sell for less than you want with a lot more work. You should post them for auction on here

im planning on putting them up here on CCF..
can someone maybe be a bit more specific and help me price these? for example..
how much for the one sunshine bar, how much for the assay bar...
or how much of a premium on those and others?
i had not thought of splitting the lot up, would I make more money splitting it up, individually?

I'm interested too, sent you a PM. As for the value of the stash, any coin shop in america is gonna give you basically -$1.00 under spot on the off-brand silver. Now the eagles they should give you spot or better on them. Those Coms would be worth a little more if you sold them individually in ebay but like someone said after shipping and ebay/paypal fees you might be better off selling to a local dealer. I think $800 is probably a long shot unless you take your time and go through ebay. Thnks TBK

Quote:I am a noob so help me here besides the 2 ASE what has a premium in this collection? Only the ASE and Credit Suisse bar would be worth a premium to most people. ebay has enough exposure that art bars/rounds can bring a small premium. That 25ozs would be worth $700 to most people making an offer on the group.

interesting, i see that the 10oz assay bar brings a premium as well, around $15-$20? the way I figure it, I think that be offering all 1oz bars and rounds, including the ASE's at $29/oz and a $15-20 premium on the 10oz, that would put me in around $725-$750... would I be greedy asking for $800?
