Today a couple of my younger customers brought me a pair of coins to check out, a Prez dollar and a 1972-S penny. The dollar looks A-okay to me, but something's off about the penny. I didn't have a loupe, etc. handy because, obvi, at work, but it feels too heavy and I just have this "off" feeling about it. Your opinions?

John, you wound me! Pretty sure that was Moe's line, wasn't it? (My mama raised me right, thanks!)

I tried to take a pic of the reverse, but that's with my crappy cell phone camera--super-blurry. Also not sure on measurements, but it was hard to hold in my hand, and that's a Prez dollar to the left of it, for scale. Also that calculator you can just see at the top of the screen is, I'm gonna guess 6" wide.

Used to be a lot of those for sale. I wonder what happened to them all. I used to have a lot of them and all different. One place used to sell them for $1 each. I think they were supposed to be drink coasters. I didn't know there were ones with other dates than the 09S VDB.

Where did you get the miniature dollar and calculator? I'd love a calculator that small....

Yes, they were made to be drink coasters. I've talked to a member of my coin club who has a few, and he says he purchased them at a Cracker Barrel restaurant in central FL (although I'm sure they're available elssewhere)

I believe it was an extreme broad-Collar error. Its worth whatever the first person who gets hit by it has on their person.
