This collection was previously called the "Fab 15" collection. See other thread. Some nice coins in the set, but also many basic bullion coins that you will be paying $95 for. https://goccf.com/t/95583

I didn't get those because I think that I am able to get them cheaper by buying them 1 by 1. If you want to box and the watch, maybe but if you only want the coins, buy them separately, my opinion

@BiBo: yes, that is one of the coins in the set. But there are a few that has a f15 privy mark, and those have limited mintage and higher prices. And some that are very hard to find here in Canada. Also, from my limited experience of buying bullions, I found that dealers sell bullions as ... well... bullions, so very often the coins are not perfect (like with minor scratches)...

Yeah basically.
Going by the 2011 subscription, of the 15 coins, I'd say 8 are readily available for 1/2 to 1/3 the price. The maple is reasonably priced, and the other 6 seem to be more difficult to get - so they are arguably more worth the price. With the subscription you get a fairly nice wooden case and a watch.
I'm subscribed and just getting into the more interesting coins.

Quote: Purchase your first coin at the introductory offer of $59.95 (plus shipping & handling) refundable if product is returned within 14 days of date of invoice. Each additional coin will be $94.95 (plus shipping & handling) with a right of return within 14 days of date of invoice. Anyone who would pay $95 PLUS S&H would have to have a geranium in their cranium!

don't buy it. only the first coin, the F15 maple, and maybe 2-3 more is worth its money. I can put the same set together for almost half as much.

The maple leaf is a bit over-priced but may be worth it to maple leaf collectors. The rest of the coins are absurdly over-priced and readily available at a fraction of the price the RCM is asking.

Don't buy into this. I just got a couple of the BU coins for my subscription, they're really sub-par in terms of quality and makes this whole 'F15' a sham.
I didn't know that the 2012 Austrian Silver Philharmonic can be had for $33 bucks...*face palming* There's quite a noticeable dimple on the one I just received. Now I'm definitely considering returning of this one. Even with the hard to find ones, plus the case and watch, it's not worth such premium. I should have done more research but I don't remember they disclose the complete list of coins up front. I do get a notice for what's coming next each time I receive one of them.

The worst ones were the 'Euro' coins 5 and 10. the 5 is about a 1/3 of an oz, while the 10 was a 1/2 oz, and both still $89.95, and, on top of that, they are both only 'Sterling' (92.5% not 99.9 or better) and thus subject to HST. That makes it about $300 an ounce. I just received the Australian Kangaroo coin. That's the one I was waiting for - very nice. A hundred dollars nice? don't think so.

Is there a special part of the Canadian Mint's website that isn't open to the general public unless you have the exact URL? When I search on the Mint's site for this set using their search function it doesn't appear. I even selected the "Browse all coins..." function and it didn't appear there. Even if you type in the set number, 117688, in the search it doesn't appear.
I know Mint has the Master's Club. Is this set part of the Master's Club?

Missed my point entirely. The link is in the original post. I used it and got to the page. But I tried to use the Canadian Mint's own search function and their store navigation links and could not find this page any other way than the original poster's link. This makes me think it is part of the Master's Club collection that I cannot access on my own because I am not in the master's club. I guess ultimately I'm curious what else is available for sale to the Master's Club.

Actually, I was sent a flyer about it when I got some of the $20 for $20 coins. I never saw any online advertising for it, or other M/C membership links (I am a m/c member). In fact, when I mentioned it to my "Mint Rep" he tried to persuade me NOT to sign up for it - as posted earlier in this, he told me "the coins are easily acquired elsewhere for about 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost".
