Ok I am just starting to work on a Franklin half dollar set. can someone explain to me what they are lookinf for when they say FBL. I know for hte most part but I odn't want to mistake a partcal one for a full line. or don't wnat to think I have one if I am looking at the wrong thing. So can I have someone explain what it looks like and who to know if it is a FBL. also it would help if someone could post a picture of a good expale of one. I know a few of the ones I bought at the coin show say they are but wnat to make sure for myself. I am sure one of the books has a definition but don't have any of them handy right now

The short answer is all the bell lines on the reverse of the coin must be distinct going all the way across the bell with no breaks.

HERE'S A PIC OF MY 59D

I found a page with many images of Franklins (and other coins):

http://www.coinpage.com/franklin%20...ictures.html

If you look at the many different images they provide, it should help give you a better understanding of FBL coins.
