Hello all, I have completed these two sets. Lincoln Cent 1941-1974 and 1975-present. I know that there a lot of Lincoln collectors here so please before starting grading the coins remember that I live in Egypt Some of the coins do have a very nice luster. I am not good in grading but I could say that if they are not Unc, they are at least AU. Other coins are not that good, some have wear and they dont have any luster but for me they are very beautiful and it took me a long time to fill all these holes. I just want to share with you this small milestone in my US collection Lincoln cents 1941-1974 Edited by EgCollector 08/24/2012 5:34 pm

That is so cool. How hard is it to find pennies in Egypt? I do not think I'veever come across an Egyptian coin here in the states!

Congratulations! Nothing quite compares to the feeling you get when you push that last coin into its slot!

It is very hard as most of the collectors I know are not interested in US coins. I have been trying every time I complete a set to make a topic about that I right all the info I know about the coin and the series. I have managed to get the attention for a while then I lost them again. Dealers dont have many US coins and if they have, in most of he cases, they are either damaged or of a low grade.

Thank you, and yes it is always a great feeling that I have waiting for the package in the mail that has the final coins I want to complete a set. My wife says that I look like a child who is opening his birthday present

I should add that I prefer a nicely circulated Lincoln.

Thanks jbuck. The scans doesn't show the good luster of some coins but it also hide the defects of the low grades if you see the last folder I have (1909-1940) you will see what I mean Thanks for your encouraging words

Being that you are in Egypt, I think it is an awesome accomplishment! Looks like the coins have honest wear and it is a nicely matched set.

Exactly how I feel when my latest treasure shows up! Just got a 1970 mint set for my 20th Century Type Coins Whitman's birth year type set. Been filling this one with family coins as well as bought, can't wait to press the last one in! Nice sets!

Congratulations Amr, it's always a good feeling to complete a set. I only need 2 more Lincolns to complete my year/mint 1909 - present set. Might be a while before I get those 2 though, as they are a bit pricier, 1914D and 1931S. Steve

Steve Thanks Steve, It really is a nice feeling I still have many holes to fill in the last set 1909-1940. Wish you the best of luck with your last two coins
