Welcome to the official 2012 CCF College Football Pick'em Contest. All spots have been filled and we are ready to go!
This will be a straight up winner pick'em, no point spreads in involved, just pick the winner. I'll review the schedule each week and post five games for the contest. Games 1 through 4 will be regular games, game 5 will be the game of the week and worth more points plus potential bonus points.
There will be 5 games posted each week. Four regular games, with the fifth game being the Game of the Week. Game 5 is a two parter, picking the winner and guessing the total combined score for the game.
*Scoring*
Games 1 through 4 will be worth 1 point for each correct pick.
Game 5 will be worth 3 points for each correct pick.
Game 5 Bonus points available for guessing the total combined score for the game.
If you are within 3 points of the total combined score, you will receive 5 bonus points.
If you correctly guess the exact total combined score, you will receive 7 bonus points!
You can still win bonus points for the score if even if you get the winner wrong.

*Pick Deadline*
With College football games being played during weeknights and Saturdays, The deadline for having your picks in will differ depending on weeknight games being included. If all 5 games are on a Saturday then the deadline will be Friday at 12pm. When I post the games, I will set the deadline for the picks to be submitted by. I want to try and keep the deadline at 24 hours before the start of the first game.
*Rules*
Picks can not be edited after 24 hours of submitting them.
If you fail to get you picks in for the week, or by the dead line, you won't be eliminated from the contest but it will make it harder to stay in contention.
*Prizes*
No set limit on prize amounts, just whatever you would like to pitch in for the winner at the end of the season. Prizes will be mailed to the winner at the end of the contest by the participants.

Games for week one will be up tonight sometime after 9pm. Doing one more run though of the schedule.

Alright guys, here are the games for week 1.
Week 1
Game 1 #24 Boise St vs #13 Michigan St
Game 2 Northwestern vs Syracuse
Game 3 #14 Clemson vs Auburn
Game 4 Georgia Tech vs #16 Virginia Tech
*Game 5* #8 Michigan vs #2 Alabama
With the BSU/MSU game being Friday night, picks need to be submitted by 8 pm Thursday night.
The Ga Tech/Va Tech game isn't until Monday night, the other three are on Saturday.
Don't forget to add you guess for combined score for Bama/Michigan.

The Michigan - Alabama game should be a good one. I would love to see Michigan knock off Bama. So I am going to buck the early trend and give it a shot.
