We had pretty good results from our last contest drawing for a Coinshirt.com brand American Silver Eagle set of items, won by monkeyman67 Just in time for Christmas, this time it is a drawing for an Austrian Philharmonic Coin Shirt and 40 inch by 60 fleece blanket. This is an almost 3 foot print of the famous Philharmonic coin. A great item to take to your next outdoor symphony. To enter, post the name of your favorite composer into the thread. Contest will run until December 18th. This is the Austrian Philharmonic Coin Shirt: And this 40x60 inch fleece blanket:

J.S. Bach. I have several of his Complete Cantatas volumes. Six CD's to a volume, and over 30 volumes. Wish I could get them all.

Who else but Johann Sebastian Bach? Even the name suggests greatness. But for modern I like Animusic!

Wow, only one? Lol. I'd have to say Franz Joseph Haydn, who wrote more hours of music than any other (340, maybe not the best, but the most, although his symphonies left something to be desired, even he admitted that he never used the winds to their full potential) and he invented the string quartet.. I play violin/fiddle so maybe I'm jaded.... Lol, I love string quartet's... As I absolutely love this coin, it just makes me think of a quartet, even though there's other components of an orchestra on it the strings stand out the most... At least to me... But again, it could be that I'm partial... A close 2nd (or at least top 5 in no order) would be Richard Wagner who wrote Tristan und Isolde- and we just named my daughter after it... "Tristin" (changed spelling, she turned 9 months old yesterday:) And of coarse Bach, Mozart and Beethoven round out the rest of the top 5! Ok, my top 6... Gotta mention Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky gotta love the Overture to 1812 ... One of the first "real" songs I learned to play! On violin and trumpet in 4th grade.... But dear me... There are soooo many other worthy mentions!!
