I also have been thinking about buying a metal detector.
From what I have learned from reading and been advised by those that own and detect.
Whites brand is pretty hard to beat. And I been told to buy a top line or at least mid range detector.
$650.00 to $1,000.00 for a decent one. One that will screen out the junk detect down a foot or more.
I have not bought one yet, but am planning atrip top Nv. this fall. A friend out there has been metal detecting over 30 years. gonns give me some lessons and let me try out a couple of his whites detectors.

I bought the ACE 350...love it. EASY to use and goes fairly deep.

Does anyone know anything about this one?

It comes with a pin pointer for $50. everything works as it should.

All the models you list are basic introductory detectors. You will soon grow tired of a detector that can't cut the mustard. On the other hand, I quickly grew tired of my new $1,000 White's machine before I jumped ship. Just 'sayin
