Fantastic piece of toiletry memoribilia. I just had to laugh!

From a numismatic point of view, very interesting. Pity about the drill hole.

What metal is it struck in? Seems to be silver plated brass.

Could this be a recent novelty item?
Although the word toilet did not attain its present meaning until a hundred years ago the word stool has been used as a euphemism for bowel movement since the 18th century.
Don't know what metal it is struck in,it's 40mm and unusually light.(don't have a working scale)
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...

I'm with you on this one. The detail on the toilet looks suspicious and the stool & toilet part maybe tongue & cheek. You'd have to research the company and see if it actually existed. Back in the early ebay days I had purchased a box of a prison electric chair watch fobs. I bought one from the dealer and ended up buying a load. Somebody was stamping these out and they looked very good.

However, the more I look at the reverse, the more I like the token. I guess back in the day before indoor plumbing you had to go somewhere and leaving the building may have not been an option or productive. So you'd rent toilets. Sounds about right. The company probably came and cleaned them too.
