My husband and I ran across this coin as were were looking through our collection and I have searched my books and the internet to no avail. Pictures are included of both sides, however one side is rubbed almost smooth with the exception of the letters "CORDE" and "AM" on the opposite side. Please help!

It's not a coin, but a "Masonic Penny". See Google Images for pics of some of the thousands of varieties of these medals.

The owner of this Masonic penny likely carried it as a pocketpiece and probably treasured it. He may have even rubbed it for good luck, daily. I've seen many a high grade one over the years but never before one that was this worn.

I have a fairly Large Collection of "Masonic Tokens" & ExoGuy is most definitely right.
"Membership" Coins are still in use, there are MANY varieties (I'll upload, the rarer ones of my Collection = 100+ "Tokens of Money" )

*** IF ANYONE is seeking information on these coins , Please message me or send me a E mail I DO NOT MIND!

B.T.W MOST masonic Tokens One will come across are in impeccable condition, especially when one think of their Age

Why can't you post a picture yet? When I first read your post I was thinking you were saying that you couldn't because you didn't have enough posts (but that can't be it because the Op only has the one post and posted a picture) so I am guessing it is because you do not have a camera or is it something else that's stopping you from posting a picture?
