Hi guys new here, stumbled apon this forum researching some coins, decided to join, always learning about a addicting hobby. What I have here is two 1958d lnc. The mint mark is touching the date on one where on the other is a good distant away. Is this a different variety?

Thanks,

Hope to learn alot from here

It does look like a nice variety. Unsure though because it isn't what I collect.
Rest in Peace

to CCF. I guess you could call it a variety. Up until 1990 the mint marks were hand punched into each die so the placement will vary. As long as it is near where it should be it is within mint tolerance. Starting in 1990 they were no longer hand punched. I have seen your coin many times before and it is considered normal.

Not a variety nor an error, just a regular coin.
