I know nothing about this token but I find it amusing that there is a five point star inside the six point star. Does it look like it was made that way or could it be something someone did after it was minted?

Is it the same on both sides?

There appears to be writing around the outside but I can't read it with the size of the picture. Can you take a better picture, there are several members who can read Middle East languages and if they had a better picture they maybe able to read enough to identify what it is.

Unfortunately I am out of state and not with my grandfather's inherited collection but I cropped the image so that it would be bigger.Hope this helps. I am not really sure about the stare in the middle.

I think it was the same on both sides. All make sure when I get back which isn't until November.

To me, it looks like the star in the center was punched out after the coin/token was minted as it is not concentric...

Wade's got it. It appears to be a brass replica of one of those Moroccan coins. Presumably made for jewellery purposes.
