Hi all. I've been putting together a collection of VOC coins for about a dozen years. Large numbers of copper duits and halves 1726-1806, silver X stuiver, 1 and 3 guilders, and a few other odd things. I will give the collection to my son who is finishing his dissertation on the subject of the diamond industry in Amsterdam. The VOC played a large role in that history.

@Mint, to me the colouring looks like retoning on a cleaned coin.
I collect world, and that includes Netherlands and the NEI. I have most of the recent types.

Thus far my hoard of '82s has 1, an 1882 MS62 NEI 1/10 Gulden. Small but pretty coins; I like the multicultural motifs on the obverse and reverse :) would gladly add some more!

Oh my, zombie thread! I'm guilty. I collect Dutch coins, especially guldens from the Kingdom of The Netherlands (1813-2001). See my avatar. I collect types only, not years, so now I'm left with the more difficult pieces (and a lot of gold) to complete my collection. And I do have a bit of Netherlands East Indies, Suriname, Netherlands Antilles, Curacao, Batavian Republic and Republic of the Seven United Netherlands.

Pardon me for resurrecting an older thread, but I have incidentally acquired many coins from the Netherlands including a few "Silver Rider" ducatons I've posted in another thread, and my latest acquisition from a dealer located in the Netherlands, this 1750 Utrecht 14 Gulden.
