I have a couple of NGC slabs that share similar characteristics...it's ultimately your call.

Regarding ebay returns: if the buyer states that the product "was not as described" is is returnable no matter what the seller's return policy is. Regarding the slab: looks normal to me. I don't know why they would tamper with the common coins of that set and not the only coin of value (RP)...you got a great price with that extra ASE. The RP69 sells for $200 alone |

I doubt the slab been cracked and resealed, it is ultrasonically sealed originally, unless seller have the same equipment as NGC does, and replaced those original coins back to another NGC slab.
Silver coins can toned over years, what once was pristine white can still tone inside slab, as is not air-free between layer.

Every time I list an item in my store, I can not remove or change the return policy. It was part of their new set of rules introduced in April or May.

I dont have a store but it lets me change the returns to whatever I want when I list. Right which would be buyer protection, and I'm guessing no matter what that ebay will just go with it even if the buyer is just making it up? |

I do appreciate every ones help with this. The seller did contact us and weare comfortable with what you all said plus what he said. Thank you all very much for assuring my wife and I with all of your comments. I still can't believe the deal we got and am thankful very much.

I have to agree with those that' say return them if you have any doubts; it's going to nag at you every time you look at the coins, that unsettling feeling that you might have been taken...

We are going to keep them and enjoy them for the rest of our lives. The only thing that we may do is send in for individual grading but never done that before so unsure if it is worth it.

By individual grading do you mean the ones you just bought or other raw ones you were thinking of getting/have

They are individually-graded. The grades are on the slab. Why would you break up the set to have the identical operation performed on them a second time? |

I thought the grading was for the set being all 69 but if that is the per coin grading then no need to regrade, sorry for the confusion. Is there anyway to clean the slab up, ie remove scratches?

The grading is for the set being all 69, but in order for that to have happened they had to grade each individual coin a 69. If any of the coins had graded something different it would be noted, they wont just list an average grade or anything like that. No need to apologize about the confusion we were all there at one point, better to ask then just assume.

As said, that grade applies for all three coins. No need to break it up. Especially since they dont do holders like that anymore.
Yes, they make a product you can use to polish the scratches out of the slab. I cant for the life of me remember what its called though.
