I thought I recognised this photograph as something that markn and purplepenny put out and by the "Australian coin collecting blog" watermark in the bottom right corner I'm guessing I was right.

Edit: the link might help

wow, I hate that to, if you can't take your own pictures of your coins, you shouldn't be selling them!

Agreed! I can't stand sellers that don't disclose that the coin depicted is not the coin to be shipped.

It's hard enough to make "guesstimates" on CCF members coins in the forum let alone trying to make a decision on a coin you want to purchase from a dealer sight unseen. Anymore, I won't bid on the coin unless the seller declares it the same as what will be shipped.

We didn't used to watermark the images and now we do people still steal them. Some even have the nerve to edit out the copyright. The funny thing is if we purchase the coin then we are in fact purchasing our own coin so there is no recourse for this lazy seller.

I would be absolutely flattered if some one stole one of my lousy images.
TPP's images are excellent and form part of her business costs and that is an entirely different matter.
If a seller is unable to take their own pics they shouldn't steal them and just describe what they are selling or just get one from the RAM site and state it is a stock photo

Lazy buggers, they didn't even attempt to remove the watermark, it still says Australian coin collecting blog.
Seller : hill1556
Feel good that they liked your pic, copying is the best form of flattery.
I get it all the time :)
