I used to roll hunt cents and I've found choice BU coins from as far back as the late 40's, in fact I found a 1920 P cent in a nice AU once.

I have found quite a few AU pennies but have always believed that the old ones that found that looked AU have been cleaned. But never to look at gift horse sideways, have always been appreciative when I have found such good looking ones. In fact I have been setting such ones aside in the hopes of getting a complete set of the memorial coins. Still haven't enough to even make it worth while to get a seperate album for them. Someday soon perhaps.

Start roll hunting, you'll have a BU set of memorials before you hit you're 1000th roll...

It's not that unusual to find BU old coins....especially cents. Be grateful when you find em. Usually people cashing in their cents that they may have been saving for years is probably the reason.

Thanks, from your original picture I thought I say extra thickness on the date, so I was thinking possible DDO. Nothing really sticks out to me now... Still a nice MS coin.
