Tying to find out information of these two Liability notes. They belong to a friend that wants to know their insurance value. Both notes were in an old picture frame. They are blank on the reverse and onion skin thin. 3 inches by 7 1/4 inches. Any info would be great or a source to find info. Thanks All.

I am not 100% sure, but it looks like a bank note that was insured by the stock holders of the bank even if the bank went under. It has something to do with the "Panic of 1857". You might want to look into that to understand the liability note.

Thanks Iragandroll. I will start a search in the direction of "Panic of 1857." I love history. To quote "If you don't know history, you were born yesterday" or is it today.lol
