I'm in the process of totting up the totals for my main 3 noodling denominations: 20c 50c and $1. 50c are done, and are as follows.
20c and dollar results due shortly.

I notice the coin bags are often not the correct totals; this happens mostly with the coin machine bags, though teller- bagged coins can be out too
In the 50 cents, I had an overall net of 6798 Aussie coins, and one additional Fiji 50c piece, so was one coin short for the month, of the theoretical 6800 coins.
Best find was an incused Millennium, and just a single 1985 for the month.
All the 1991 RAMS were keepers. and had 67 state coins in total, some tatty ones were put back into circ.

Thanks for sharing again.
Would you (or anyone else) like to see a similar analysis of the numbers to what I did before?

By all means we can never have enough stats.

I've got the 20 cent results. 2011 platy's started showing up in late August.
Only 16 state coins found in the 5000+ coins: becoming tough to gather sets from circulation....
Bag amounts are 2 coins over the theoretical amount of 5000 coins, so 5002 is the total. 21 were foreigns - NZ 20c x19, a GB 10p, and a French Polynesian 20 franc
Total Aussie 20 cent coins is 4981

Dollar coins have been collated.
Once again, the bags sometimes didn't add up to the supposed value - one lot had a $2 coin in it.....
Had 2 foreign coins; a NZ $1 coin and an Indonesian 1000 Rupiah coin
Highlights were my first NCLT, the Oz Post 200 years from 2009, a 1996 Parkes B and C mintmarks, 2x 1993 Landcare C mintmarks, and a Rotated 2001 COF dollar.

Total Aust $1 coins were 5599

I am collecting all commems only,
20c, 50c, $1,
out of circulation into a 2 litre jar.
Whe the jar is full there should be around $300 face in it.
I will post my analysis when the jar is full.

Just to keep the numismatic blood flowing, on a daily basis!

Oh, almost forgot that I did a $100 bag of 5 cent coins during August. Urrrgh, tiny fiddly little things, and my mood wasn't improved by not finding any 1972's

To top it off, the bag was 6 coins short....also had 11 NZ 5 cent coins as well, plus one trashed 1966-84 coin which was undateable.

Total of 1,983 Aussie 5 cent coins

1966 x6
1967 x14
1968 x14
1969 x7

1979 x18
1980 x26
1981 x61

2009 x62
2010 x70
2011 x56

TOTAL = 1294 IRB's (65.25%)

You'll see how few older 5c are in circulation compared with the more recent years. I guess a lot of 5's go pretty quickly into money boxes/money jars/are lost.
