LOL. So the first branch of the bank I go to that I went to for my first roll hunting attempt we had this horrible conversation trying to figure out that I only wanted customer rolled rolls. Turns out that branch ONLY has them which is great because I know I dont have to worry about asking for them or upsetting some stuffy teller that doesn't want to pick and choose for me. I got 100$s in coins mixed denominations, took em home, had fun.
Yesterday I went to a different branch of the same brank less then 2 miles away in the same town and entirely different atmosphere.
I walk up to the counter and the guy is putting away a new full box of pennies. I ask for the the same 100$s worth of coins and he starts pulling out pre-measured trays! Lol! Sexy too. Looked like annodized steel or something. They were right on his counter on his side of the counter all prepared and ready to go.
I havent opend them yet so I might be getting 10$s worth of fresh coins but it was worth it for the first experiment without having to explain too much of why I was picky about the coins.
The guy was VERY professional. I mean like he knew what I was asking for when I asked if I could order a box next time he said no problem, very quick and direct, we had kind of a 'connection' like a cross talk that lined up perfectly.
Totally different experience then the branch 2 miles away and ironically this one is in a better part of town then that one lol. :D
I have one or two more branches in the area I am going to try over the next few weeks. Didnt expect such a different experience so I am curious how they are going to be. Might be intersting to see which ones give the better selections of which types.
Oh and I asked this guy about non standard denominations and he said they never carry anything but the 1/5/10/25 so sadly nothin special for me from there. Didnt wanna stress out the teller at the last branch after that fiasco but will ask next time.
Just thought it funny to share the entirely different experience from the same bank less then a couple miles apart. :D

There's a dump bank near me like that. They always take my searched rolls no questions asked. When I want CWRs, they know exactly what I mean. One teller gave me the oldest CWR nickels she had. One roll had 2 War Nickels, and another had 2 Buffalos!

TrickyxMick I love your avatar hehe. I'm a fan of poker stuff even though I dont play.
CPC24 Yeah. I am kinda glad their different though, gives me a chance to pick and choose what I want. See if these machine rolls are any good or all new or maybe I found my place to dump since the other one doesn't take machine rolls I know I'll never get them back hehe. :D

Well I would believe one or the other about a particular bank, even the same bank in one state but not another or maybe differences 100 miles apart. But such a big difference over just two miles just makes me laugh.
Its like I said in a different thread, my favorite branch has this huge sign that says "Courtesy is our number one priority!" and I was thinking. I hope thats not above economics or security. :D "Oh I'm sorry, our computer fouled up and lost all your money. But hey! We were nice about it!" :D
I do have one or two other branches in the area I am going to check out to see how they fare. Atleast I get variety hehe. :D

Hehe yeah. You would think in today's society with money being 'so important' to so many people it would be different then most 'stores' but their just like anything else, quirky and unique lol.
