Looks like someone dipped this poor lincoln in acid or something. Any clue what caused this (and it obviously was done in someone's basement to make a quick buck)?

Wait a minute.. Someone asked about this penny on here a few days ago and must not of like what he heard. He was definitely told that someone melted the edge. Another useless member here on CCF.

My bad. It just ended like 5 minutes ago and some sucker bought it for $1.80. I will try not to be useless next time lol

No, the person on ebay selling that coin on ebay has an account on here and asked what the error was on the coin. He was told the sides were melted but decided to sell it and scam people on ebay anyways. Check the link I posted! The guys has the same name on here that he does on ebay.
