I bought 2 Morgans for $30.00's each today. One is an 1883 o and the other is a 1900 o. They look to be around the AU department. Almost asked for spot, but I didn't think I could get them for that low. I'm sure many people have gotten some good deals buying these coins, right?

$30 is more of a VF/EF price. You did well.

Also check coin shows. Especially when silver prices are being crazy (most of the time). Some sellers want to sell immediately to free up capital for other coins, expenses etc. I've bought morgans BELOW spot at shows (especially when you pick up 10+ at a time. You never know.

Good finds though!

jdbarrick that's not a bad deal at all! Were the ones you bought under spot in a worn condition or anything? Is it common to find deals on Morgans at shows? I always figured they would be a popular, fast sell coin.

I bought two for 5 dollars each last month. No kidding. They were colorized 1921s. With postage, they were 6.50 each.

Watch for bargains and you'll sometimes find them. I once bought a GSA 1883 CC Morgan for 50.00 including postage. That was a couple years ago. I haven't been hawking the 'bay much of late, aside from checking out Flying Eagle cents for varieties.

Deals can be found, but one must jump when the opportunity arises.

The coins were worn, but not culls by any stretch.

A good deal you made on these.
My best deal to date on Morgans was buying 10 MS ones
from a local brick and morter coin dealer. $30.00 each
and he did not charge me tax. And no shipping charges.
