After a month with no luck, last night I found 5 American quarters, 1 Canadian quarter, a nickel, and a cent. But even better: my wife, who generally groans when I look in the Coinstar when shopping with her, was shopping alone a few weeks ago and happened to see a dime in the return slot. It turned out to be a 1948 silver Roosevelt!

They are mostly on the floor around the coinstars.

Wife sent me to the grocery store yesterday for an emergency banana run (don't ask lol). I spotted a very busy-looking lady dumping a jar at the coinstar as I was checking out. Left a handful of change in the reject tray - maybe 80 cents? Nothing like free money!

Free money is great, Finn235! I've probably found over $100 worth of free money over the past year and a half in Coinstars... and a $20 bill, and a $1 bill on the ground.
