I'm on a roll! Today's finds were a 1981P US quarter and a 1966 Canada silver quarter. A bit stained but free silver is free silver!   Edited by rusty_f

USSID18 mate I was intrigued to see an Aussie coin (Me being Aussie n all) , I wasn't having a shot at your pics, they were good enough for me to recognise the coin 8-)

Does anyone know if CoinStar separates the copper from the zinc pennies in the machines?
A few years ago they displayed on the receipt how many older pennies were counted vs. the newer ones. I always wondered if they were bagged separately.

I can see them being counted separately if they are using weight to help determine a Lincoln from a Zincoln from a slug, but I am not sure how they separate any of the coins inside the machine, if at all.

Bank coin counter last night yielded my first finds in over one month: 2 stinkin' zincolns, 1 of which was bent...Oh well, I'll take them! :)

at Walmart on Tuesday, one Canadian 25 cent piece, a 500 Dong Vietnamese coin and a Chuckie Cheeze token. Today, different Walmart, 2 2013 Jefferson dimes. If this continues, I will be able to retire sometime in the far away future. |

Found a 1984-D West German 1 Pfennig in a coinstar reject tray.

USSID18, I've not worked out how quote a post, so I will just do it old school. Alice Springs is way out in the boonies mate, what were you doing there?
I spent time in Arnhem Land (Ngukurr, Boroloola), Katherine, Mataranka and Elliot when I was in the Army looking after Survey equipment
