However, I found sitting on top of one the machine's counters a clad dime... another machine's counter had two foreign coins, two Zincolns, and this little guy! John77 Pillar of the Community United States 2949 Posts	Posted 02/03/2018 4:34 pm Found almost $3 worth in CoinStars today, included were 1940, 1940-S and 1942 wheat cents which someone actually left on top of one machine counter with some foreign coins. Went to 5 machines today all blanks except one which produced all of this regular US coinage no silver. When I emptied the reject tray I felt like I was robbing the bank. Who would leave all of that change behind. The wife said some people probably don't know that there is a reject tray.She might be right. Report this Post to the Staff
John77 Pillar of the Community United States 2949 Posts	Posted 02/03/2018 5:28 pm Cabowabo, you're right... some people just don't check the reject trays... had similar finds to yours in TWO reject trays today... one was $2.18 + some foreign... another was a dime and 17 cents... I don't think anything will ever top my find from 2 days before Christmas last year... 79 coins and a bus token. It took me four scoops to get them all out. 71 of the coins were silver. Some old guy was at the machine for at least 20 minutes, dumping several different coin jars VERY slowly to get different gift cards, and I began to wonder if he would ever finish up. Finally, he left, along entire contents of the reject tray which I promptly grabbed! $1.87 in normal change (including some pennies and dimes in NASTY shape, they're all stuck together) 1941 penny 1965 British 6 pence 1996 25 paise coin from India 2002 East Caribbean states quarter Some "no cash value" token that says freedom on the other side 2003 2 cent Euro Since my finds have dried up a lot in the past year (my last silver quarter was on super bowl Sunday last year, and my last silver coin was a Mercury dime last month, but nothing else) this was pretty nice to find!
