When I pulled it out it was covered in wet ink. My guess is that a previous owner had kept coins in a jar that with pens, one of which had leaked. I had two fingers covered in ink. Wheats Cents! Last Afternoons, I went to a Coinstar at Meijer that is a reject tray has 2005 10 Euro Cents Greece, Tin City Token, 2009 Canadian Dimes, Thailand 1 baht, 2015 U.K One Penny, Energizer Battery, and $3.54 Extra Moneys. I found a Jamaica 25 cent coin along with a common watch battery in the local machine. Last week while in Boston for work my co-worker and I stopped at a self-serve car wash on the way to the office and sprayed off the accumulated crud from his truck and he found a stack of 7 Canadian quarters on the coin acceptor. Apparently someone had found that they would not work in the machine and just left them there. Report this Post to the Staff

Coincollector110 Pillar of the Community United States 818 Posts	Posted 05/27/2018 12:35 pm Nine out of ten times, if I see someone dumping change in the Coinstar at my regular grocery store, they always take the rejects. The 1 in 10 scenario happened today. I saw a guy dumping a jar full of coins, so I went inside and waited for him to come through the entrance and go to the service desk. When he finally came in, I noticed his coin jar was completely empty, so I wondered if he left anything behind since most people who take their rejects throw the coins back into the jar they took them in. Sure enough, there were some coins in the reject slot, totaling 46 cents including a 1964-D dime! Report this Post to the Staff
