First time I ever glanced at a coinstar regect area, and was surprised to see several coins in it. Turned out to be two 1 peso coins and one 50 centavo coin.

My 16 yo son now works at our local Fred Meyer. I recommended he check the Coinstar reject tray given he will be working near the machine multiple times each day. Last night he showed me the Canadian quarter he picked out of the reject tray during his shift. He was thrilled to hear I would trade it for a US quarter :)

He may be addicted now.

On another note, a family member of a friend of mine lives in a small town and is in charge of the coin counting machine at the local grocery. She has full access to the bags on the machine. After my friend clued her in to silver US coinage, she checked the dime and half bags and found about $4 FV in silver...She was very happy, and will be periodically checking the bags in the future.

I find the more people I talk to about coins might actually start their own collections of coins.

I found the top in a reject bin and the wife had the other one tucked away in her jewerly box for years.
Not sure if there is much interest in these but here they are.
