Quote: Sadly, nothing in the reject tray, but a shiny French 2017 1 eurocent was on the floor in front of it (a collection addition!) together with a normal recent-date 5p coin! Quote: I went by the coinstar at Wal-mart and found a 1956 quarter! Needless to say, I was pretty excited. Nice finds!

So I'm going to be without my car likely for about a week starting tomorrow, and I decided to make a late night run to the store to stock up on food... And it produced a nice first-time occurence for me. I went to the CVS first and checked out the Coinstar... nothing in the reject bin or on the ground, however, I noticed the top of the machine had a bunch of coins jammed into the drop end... So I started pulling them out with my car keys... first coin was a 2008 Canadian dime, and then a 2017 1 Euro coin... then come a couple of nickels and a few zincolns... then a copper Lincoln... and then I noticed a few dimes... and the edge of one looked light ... pulled it, and saw another with that similar light color ... there ended up being 17 coins jammed there, totalling 61 U.S. cents. I also found a dime on the counter at the Grocery Store and a Copper Lincoln on the ground at Smart & Final... So tonight produced my first EVER silver coins found in the top bin of a Coinstar - 1957 and 1964 Dimes from Philadelphia mint!

Thanks, cabowabo... figures that this would happen in such an "abnormal" month for me in other regards. Looking forward to December!
