Finally another silver hit at coinstar, ending a silver drought! 1947-D and 1959-D Plus a 2008 Polish 20 groszy, 2 Canadian quarters 2007 and 2010, and a very damaged Hawaii State Quarter (could only tell that one from the big island that did not get obliterated)

Nice finds, mrwhatsit! I actually found two coins in my local Coinstar machine today, but they were just two normal recent-date 5p pieces. No idea why the machine rejected them. Still, it's free money!

Nothing photo worthy, but I did grab a couple George's from the Coinstar machine yesterday - a 1964-D Washington quarter and a 1950 George VI Canadian nickel.

Can never say no to free silver. Even if it is a 1964.

Found a 2008 D dime, no idea why it was rejected other than it was a bit dirty.

I assisted an elderly gentleman who was dumping a jug of coins into a CoinStar. Quite a few perfectly normal coins were rejected. Of course, I was hoping something good would come out that I could buy from him. He was quite surprised to find out that the machine was taking a 12% cut of what he put in. He thanked me for suggesting he bring them to the bank instead.
