Quote: I broke a long dry spell yesterday pulling a 2002 GB 5 Pence and a 1957-D Roosevelt dime at my local Krogers. Free silver and a dark sider.

I left 2 rotted Zincolns in the reject slot after dumping on Thursday.
Scored a 1953 Roosevelt today from the coin counter.

This couple was using the coinstar, a LOT was being rejected and they kept asking why all their dimes would not go through. I have a feeling that maybe they were dumping someones collection? Hopefully not. I asked them if I could buy their rejects and they said they were using them. I went back after they were done and there were 2 silver dimes in the reject. So I didn't loose everything.

Not a single coin, token, medal, hairpin, thumbtack or gum wrapper in over a month. I think Ploopy has been raiding my coinstar!

My new "dump bank" as you would call it is actually a tiny branch of my bank within a grocery store. Obviously I won't be dumping boxes of coins there, as my coin roll hunting is limited to a couple rolls of customer wrapped half dollars. The grocery store has their own Coinstar, so I checked the reject for a single dime, thought it was silver at first, but low and behold... it's just a normal 1968-D.

Today at Walmart, I actually found a lot of stuff in the reject slot, which turned out to be a bunch of sticky zincolns, a clad dime and a plastic nickel (probably from some play money set) which I threw into the coin deposit machine to see if it worked, which it did.

Found some free money and a really bad looking 1990 British penny coin. All in either the entry or reject slot of the coinstar.
