Today I found a 2002 Canada 5c (with the dual date obverse) as well as a common clad US dime. Last week I found a half dozen badly damaged US pennies and a dinged up clad dime.
In the year I have lived here I probably found a couple dollars at the local CoinStar but so far no silver or anything really extraordinary.

I have started a Euro collection from my local coinstar - so far I have about 30 unique dates in one and five cent euro coins - it is getting fun.

Found 34 cents in a coinstar last night... Nothing spectacular, but it is 34 more cents that I didn't have...

It's not exactly a Coinstar find, but last week I caught a glimpse of shiny metal in a vending machine change tray- a 1985-P nickel. It's a bit odd, since I thought they only dispensed quarters and small dollars.

A nickel is still a nickel.

Walmart had a bunch of change, which turned out to be 2 dimes and a bunch of pennies, one of them was a 1942. My grocery store though, I think someone might be checking the coinstar as well, because I haven't found anything in there in over a month except last week when there was someone using it and left some money in there.

77 cents in one machine yesterday, all modern U.S. currency, nothing out of the ordinary... Except for the Two Cents that were stuck together. We then found a quarter by a checkout lane, so that trip to the grocery store netted us $1.02!
