Today, there were a few coins in the reject slot, and after taking a look, I got 57 cents and a 1929 penny!

Almost didn't do it, but the day before yesterday I did try out the coinstar machine at my grocery store, and got my first finds:

- 2010 British 5 pence piece (worth about US $0.07)

- EU 5 cents piece, dated 1999 (must be one of the first years after the Euro was created), worth about 5 1/2 US cents

- German 1995 1 pfenning piece (was worth a little less than one US cent, but was demonetized when the Euro was created

Anyway, nothing of any value but was pleased to find anything at all - and I could actually spend the first two of these if I go to Europe.

I saw a cent laying on the floor in front of the Coinstar machine this morning. In the reject slot were 2 foreign cents.

Today I found a 1963-D dime in the dumping hopper of the machine. I didn't have any change on me, so I used my debit card to get it out. Probably the only time I'll be using my debit card outside of banks anytime soon!

Used coinstar today since TD penny arcade is no longer an option. Saw a nice little pile of change in the reject slot before I even started. Totals were 26 cents including a 41, 6 nickels, 15 dimes including a 1951 and three arcade tokens. Total of $2.06. Cashed in for an applebees gift card.
