Amazing to see all those silver dimes!

I made my first ever finds in the Coinstar at my local supermarket in England today! I often walk past the machine and have a discreet look at the reject tray, but it's usually empty. At lunchtime today I saw several coins in it, and scooped them out! Three ordinary recent-date British 5p pieces, one ordinary recent-date British 10p piece, a 2012 Canadian quarter in virtually mint state and three Spanish 5-eurocent coins, dated 2005, 2009 and 2010!

I rarely ever visit Safeway but I was there buying snacks with friends. I always tell them to look at the coinstar and today was a little surprise... two Canadian dimes to break a nothing streak.

Now that TD got rid of their coin counters, the only place I know with a coinstar is Safeway, which I infrequently visit, and other banks I don't belong to.

Went to 2 Coinstars today, and scored on both of them. First one had a bunch of sticky pennies but among them was a 1939 and a 1944. Second one had some change, which came to a few beat up quarters, a Canadian dime, and 2 more Canadian quarters. Total take from them both was $2.34

Found a vf 1926 Wheat cent in the coinstar machine yesterday. That makes 4 silver dimes and 5 wheat cents in the last 2 months.

$1.15 that some one forgot about. 3 quarters 4 dimes. All clad. Helped make up for the fact that the machine ate one of my halves... Up $0.65.

One of my luckiest Coinstar finds ever - 3 US coins from 1943: 1943S dime, 1943P nickel and a 1943D steel penny!

the coinstar was over flowing with silver! 148 silver dimes. Note that I've been checking coinstar machines like 3 times a week for over a decade and never found anything better than a single silver quarter.
Amazing.

My best find was the time I found two merc dimes or the time I found 133 wheat cents (All with common dates). I might have blown a gasket over 118 silver dimes.

First silver today since Feb 15.

Since that date, I've found the following:
US Coins
15 zinc Lincoln cents
4 clad dimes
7 clad quarters (only one was in bad shape)
8 copper Memorial Lincoln cents
1 1939P Lincoln Cent
1 1943 P Lincoln steel cent
1 1962 silver Roosevelt dime
Oddly, no nickels. And $2.50 more to the Salvation Army jar.
