Picked up this nice toner in a lot of world coins I bought last year:

1943-Sixpence-Toner

1943-Sixpence-Toner

I don't collect world coins but this one just looks so awesome! The scans don't show the toning very well but the entire obverse around the outer coin face is rainbow toned. The reverse is also toned in a similar manner just less of a defined rainbow and more overall color.

Nice details on the sixpence
Its a shame the toning has gone "over the top".
I generally like a degree of toning on some Aussie pre decimals but this one is just a bit too dark for my tastes.
But then , each to their own

Looks like the little fella made his way home. That one was minted in Denver, USA. It was possibly taken home by one of the thousands of US servicemen stationed in Australia during the war.
