I got this quarter in change at a Chinese restaurant, and immediately noticed that it was of significantly higher quality than any other quarter I've found in circulation. I know it's probably not going to be worth more than face value, but I'll keep it anyway because it's definitely a high grade.

Yep, looks like it could have come from a mint set and was cracked out recently. It's in beautiful shape.

Pre-state quarters are hard to find in good shape from circulation. Nice find!

Could also be a refugee from a broken-up-and-spent Littleton Coin State Quarters album
(the ones with spaces for the pre-state-Quarter obverse and reverse on the first page.)

I suspect the BU 1996-D Quarter I got in change last year was also a Littleton album refugee.
