Don't give up hope so easily spf77,

I suggest buying real error from known error specialists, sometime these aren't expensive. Error coins can range in as low as few dollars, once you have a error coin to compare it to, you can gain insight naturally. The tougher ones will need more experience. Read The Official Price Guide to Mint Errors, 7th Edition by Alan Herbert, valuable insight to minting process.
