This coin or medal was mixed in with 150 pounds of world coins I had purchased in 2001 when the European Countries were switching over to the Euro and I believe the existing nations that had made the switch over, had their older coins demonetized...
If anyone can help ID this piece , please advise...

Yes, it's a model half-sovereign ostensibly to serve as a pattern but in reality they were issued in bulk and many used as gaming counters.

I didn't intend to mean that it's nothing special. I think these model coins complement any collection of British coins from Victoria or later and at around £2 to £5, they don't break the bank.
