The quality of the planchet seems to be lacking however with its numerous craters and what not.

What do ya'll think the grade is?

Probably need some better pics - try with the flash off in natural lighting - always seems to work better for me.

This date comes weak struck. Normally a VF-25, I will go EF-40 details.

it looks porous to me and it may have been buried and dipped because the color looks un-natural to me if that is the actual color of the coin

I agree dipped at one time, cleaned before that. May be whizzed or more than likely has some corossion hence the pourus surfaces, I'd say this example has a lot of detail still on it at around EF40 but it would net out to a VF20 grade at most.
