Man, I find myself watching a movie, or a ball game with 5-6 morgans in my hand, just dropping them in my hand, just to hear that beautiful clank. Man, upsets my girlfriend. hahahah! She'll be like, Jason, you're doing it again!!
The scientific reason behind it is that it's the most conductive metal for heat, sound and electricity. This has some sort of draw on our senses, and is one of the reasons why it has always been used in jewelry and in coinage. Hundreds of proverbs from dozens of cultures warn about not letting it get to your head...
The unscientific reason is that it just feels good. :-)
