I normally collect Canadian stuff but I am looking to buy a Standing Liberty quarter. I am thinking of buying one just because I love the design. I do not care about the mintage or year but I would like one in about EF-40 condition. What is generally the cheapest year of these(Not a 1916!) and how much would it likely cost? I am thinking a 1920 would be the cheapest one since it has the highest mintage. Thank you in advance!

A quick look showed two NGC SLQ in XF40 under $30. A 27P and 28P. I'm sure you could find some raw ones for a much better price.

1916 - Muhahahaha. Tis a fantastic coin, one of my favs for sure. Good luck on your hunt; I would suggest picking up a higher grade because it won't cost you that much more cash.

I paid $80USD a couple years ago for an MS example.

you can grab an AU58 to MS60 for around $100 if you look enough
its worth a hundred dollar bill for the details you get in that condition
i felt the exact same way and did just that not too long ago on a 1930; pics are on this forum in the classic grading section
