I want to buy the 1/25 gold penny, but seeing as how I don't think it will sell out anytime soon. I'll wait it out, maybe the mint will see the people's call and issue one before the year is out.

JeyRey2000 did you already get your order?

the 1/25th is a great idea, but it should have been a 1/10th, to approximate the penny's size. A 1/25th coin is far too small/hard to truly enjoy, IMHO.

Agreed Jsinger. I would like to see it in person before dropping such a massive premium on it. I bet it's lovely. I wonder what looks nicer, the gold 1/25th, or the silver 1/2? I can buy one of them, not both. The premium on the gold piece is more reasonable.

Totally agree with that. I would have to look at the 1/25th to see how it looks. I would prefer it over the 1/2 onze

I am not a fan of the gold coins - the clear look of the pure silver is more attractive to me, while the gold associates with the ancient money and jewelry.

Still, for the Farewell event, was ready to commemorate it with the Pure Gold penny, but:
I saw 1/25 in personal - it tooooo small, looks like a tiny button..you can't feel it.

Ordered 2 of 1/2 oz (to be a truly 1oz collector )

Just received my two 1/2 oz pennies and the fractional silver set. I was worried that the reverse proof finish on the fractionals would have some imperfections like the 2012 F15 maples. A quick scan and so far so good.

Suprising a delivery made it so quick after ordering, the 1/2 ounce arrived. Not bad, the gold colouring is better than I would have initially thought.

That's a nice looking coin. Jealous.

I can't seem to get the RCM to deliver Dinos or either of the Grosbeaks never mind the current release.

@Mrpiedfort The mint must be under new management if you received the Fractional set already. Any pictures that you would like to share? Still waiting on mine.

@jpaiva83 Glad to do it for the CC!
